Pick: Genk Result: 1-1 Stake: 3/10 Odds: 2.73
Bookmaker: 10bet vCash: No

Ealy pick here as there are a few reasons to back Genk in this match up at this price:
Anderlecht misses 2 important players due to suspension. Boussouffa who finally played a good game against Zulte last Saturday will be a tough loss. In my opinion he was holding the key to create potential danger coming in from the flanks. Genk leaves too much space there and a guy with a great center can cause serious troubles that way. The other loss, is defender Wasilewski. This guy not alone is great in defense, he also is dangerous on corners and free kicks. At the moment he is (together with Boussaffa) the clubs topscorer with 3 goals… Also Anderlecht still misses their probably most important striker Nicolas Frutos with a longterm injury. Above that they were forced to sell last years topscorer Tchité (now Santander) because of elimination (and lose many $$$) in the Champions League. Missing all these players, you don’t have to be a genius to see how difficult it will be to find the net on the road against last years runner up and current third place holders Racing Genk…
Anderlecht plays in the Uefa Cup on thursday. This will demand a lot of energy. The team they face, Rapid Vienna is rock solid. Uefa is very important for the hosts here, and they will do everything they can to win this game. Rumours say that if they don’t win on thursday trainer Vercauteren will get fired. I don’t think this will take place but I do feel the pressure for the away game in Genk will be huge either how for the trainer.
Genk on the other hand has no worries. No new injuries, no suspensions and no European duties in midweek. They won the important away derby at Sint-Truiden without having many problems. All the other topclubs lost points. Now Genk will have an excellent chance to jump over Anderlecht and take the second place.
Another key factor to make this bet, are the deceptive stats of the past. Anderlecht took points in Genk the last 9 years. This way bookies are distracted, and incorrectly set Anderlecht as a small favorite. IMO Genk must be the small favo here and odds for a homewin should be around 2.4. I first considered to wait for pinnacle and take a safe DNB. Than again the edge is just too high to pass this 10bet line….
Norma Stakes home win

Pick: Mons Result: 2-1 Stake: 3/10 Odds: 2.00
Bookmaker: EXPEKT vCash: No

This is a generous offer. it would surprise me this line won't drop so I buy it now...
There are a few reasons why bookies set this line so high :
1) Mons never won against Brussels in the 4 games they played against each other
2) Mons didn't start well. In the first 5 games they only managed to get 1 point.
So if you don't follow our league and just are influecend by stats, backing a home win would not be a good idea.
Now, keep in mind that Mons is BY FAR the better team than Brussels. A lot more quality and it will take only a matter of time this team will find its way upwards the table... There are no injuries so far so Mons can line up their strongest squad.
Brussels IMO now is the weakest team in the league. They show no creativity, they have bad forwards and they miss a key player (Culek) with an injury... They only scored 1 goal in 5 matches and conceeded 8!
This is a typical match were the home team is likely to win. Almost every 'parameter' I use, gives a vicory for the hosts. The only thing I'm a bit concerned of is a goal less draw if the Mons attack fails again...
So normal stakes on the home win
Good Luck

Pick: Standard Result: 2-1 Stake: 3/10 Odds: 2.00
Bookmaker: Interwetten vCash: No

First big test for Brugge. It's true they have 10/12 but they absolutely didn't impress me so far. Standard on the other hand is hot. A very good team, and I wonder how long the title ambitions will last this year. IMO they have a reasonable chance if the young team stays disciplined.
I see no reason to believe in a Standard meltdown. Players will be enormlously motivated. At the end of the transfer period they didn't let go Jovanovic. Big clubs like PSV and PSG wanted him, but Standard rejected. This means Standard absolutely wants the title.
Altough I'm very confident about the homewin, I go with medium stakes here. Brugge is a topclub with lots of experience. This can't be ignored and I will give them some respect.
Good Luck

Pick: Dender (+0) Result: 1-0 Stake: 4/10 Odds: 1.78
Bookmaker: Canbet vCash: No

This is an important game for both teams. I both rate them as serious candidates to relegate this year. Dender fights for what it's worth but has no experience at all at the highest level. Sint-Truiden has, but can't score goals. Van Hout is still out. Pretty much the only decent striker in the team and they didn't buy any new player to replace him the next weeks...
I think the home advantage will be pretty important here. Former Sint-Truiden forward Munyaneza will be very motivated to score at least one goal against his ex-club. I also gonna play a bet on the under because I can't see a goal fiesta here...

Genk grapped the confidence they were looking for last week. In injury time they managed to steal the away win at GBA. Westerlo was the better team last weak against Moeskroen at home but lost 0-2
I believe Genk will take this one. I was considering a bet on the over, but walked away from it. Westerlo really has troubles in scoring goals right now. I don't think this will change in an away match at the ground of Belgian runner up from last year...
When we look at the stats from the past Genk never lost to Westerlo at home in the last 7 years. Last year the score was 3-1. This year I believe the score will be somewhere in that area (2-0, 3-1, 1-0, 2-1). In case Genk only wins by one, we have our money back...

Pick: Anderlecht Result: 0-2 Stake: 3/10 Odds: 2.30
Bookmaker: BETWAY vCash: No

This is a no brainer for me at these odds while it's far from a lock... I give a small advantage to A'lecht to win this game. What I really don't believe is that this game will end in a draw! So if you reduce that posiibility to a very small chance 2.34 odds for the homewin has a giant expectation value...
Let me explain why I don't see a draw at full time. Anderlecht lost 1-0 at Fener in the first game. They MUST win this match. This is a very difficult situation and I really wonder about the tactics. Imo they are going to play very patiently. A'lecht knows Fener is dangerous on the counter attack. Giving away too much chances early on in the game is very tricky. A goal from Fener, and they have to score 3 times, almost impossible... When they manage to score the first goal, both teams will get patient. They both can speculate a bit and the chance the game will end after 90' in 1:0 gets likely...
Why I see Anderlecht as a favorite to win this? Well, I saw the game from Fener in their domestic league. They won 1:0 but it could have been 1:3 if the visitors were 'a little bit' more lucky. I know the CL game is a totally different match (more motivation, probably high award for winning, ...) BUT Fener is physically in bad shape. Again they gave away too much space in the second half. Just like in the 1st leg against Anderlecht were visitors were the better team in 2nd period and should have scored...
Than we have the problem 'Kezman'. The home crowd was whistling every time he touched the ball. Well, we all know that's pretty stupid as Kezman needs confidence to perform. He even reacted to his own fans. I think Mateja already wants to leave the Turkish side :-) Maybe he answers with the ball today, but to be honest, I don't believe in him here...
Both teams may miss an important player. Boussoufa has a little ancle injury and may miss the game. For Fener Alex is doubtful. Still I think both players will show up. The importance of this game is just too high...
On Anderlecht today!
Good Luck

Pick: Lommel (+0.25) Result: 1-1 Stake: 3/10 Odds: 2.01
Bookmaker: PINNACLE vCash: No

Great handicap, great odds.
Most books opened this line with the DNB @ just below even money. For no reason the odds went above 2 and more important, the handicap went to +0.25.
I don't know why Eupen is a favorite here. In their first game they got a rather lucky draw at Tienen that had many oppurtinities but couldn't score. At the end of the game Eupen hit the woodwork twice, and they almost won :-) Football can be a strange and cruel game. sometimes..
United won their cup game and despite the diasppointing draw at home against Deinze on the opening day of the league, they look like a very solid team. Last year they had some difficulties to stay in the league but this year I really can't see that happen again. They should have a 'safe' season somewhere at the middle of the table.
Away games at Eupen are always a hard nut to crack, but IMO United has a reasonable chance to get a draw or even a win...
Normal play on United +0.25
